Materials

The materials we process and use during the implementation of projects for our clients.

Acrylic (pmma)

Polycarbonate (PC)

FOAMED PVC

Acrylic (pmma)

Acrylic glass, also known as acrylic glass, metaplex or acrylic glass, is a product resulting from the polymerization of methyl methacrylate (pmma). It is a thermoplastic material that is easy to shape and is used in advertising, construction and industry.

We offer colorless, milk, smoked, frozen, frosted acrylic glass and in many different colors.

As one of the few plastics, acrylic glas has a hygienic certificate and products made of it can be used in the food industry and have direct contact with food. You can successfully use acrylic glass in the production of stands for cookies, platter, cake tin or ice cream stands. Acrylic glass panels can be used to build partition walls, roofs or skylights in ceilings. Thanks to the light transmittance of 92%, it is ideal as a replacement for glass where the use of this fragile material is not recommended.

Selected features of the material

  • transparency for 3 mm thickness 92%

  • half the weight of glass,

  • material protected on both sides with a protective film,

  • basic resistance to weather conditions and uv radiation,

  • has an approval for contact with food,

  • easy to process - laser cutting, bending, milling, gluing, engraving)

  • available thicknesses from 2 to 20 mm

  • in the case of poured acrylic glass resistance to some solvents and

  • oils, density: 1.2 g / cm³,

  • tensile strength: 75 MPa,

  • compressive strength: 100 MPa,

  • Shore D hardness: 75.

Polycarbonate (PC)

Polycarbonate (PC) is a thermoplastic (molded by injection and hot extrusion) plastic with very good mechanical properties, especially impact strength (approx. 25 times stronger than glass) and high transparency reaching up to 92%. The properties of polycarbonates are somewhat similar to acrylic glass, but polycarbonate is much more durable - its hardness and compression resistance are similar to aluminum.

Contrary to acrylic glass, which is not very resistant to weather conditions, polycarbonate can be successfully used outdoors. Thanks to special surface finishing processes, this material is completely UV-resistant. The manufacturer's warranty for the aging process is 10 years - no changes visible from the outside take place in polycarbonate during this period. Solid polycarbonate, as one of the few plastics, has a class B1 flame retardant certificate, which makes it approved for use in construction.

Thanks to this property and very high physical and chemical resistance, it works very well as a shock protection in machines and industrial devices.

Selected features of the material

  • lightness - 2 times lighter than glass

  • transparency comparable to glass - up to 92% for 3 mm plates

  • 25 times greater impact resistance than glass

  • application temperature range from -40 to +120 ° C

  • high thermal insulation (K up to 1.4 W / m2 K)

  • protection with an anti-UV

  • layer durability - 10-year warranty

  • due to its fire resistance, it cannot be cut with a laser

  • resistance to solvents, oils, sub. petroleum derivatives.

  • possibility of threading and joining surfaces with screws

FOAMED PVC

Lightweight PVC - more commonly known as foamed PVC or komatex - is a synthetic polymer used to make plastics. The boards are stiff, white, with a regular closed-cell internal structure with a smooth and hard surface. As standard, the surface of the panels is matte. PVC is characterized by very good thermoplastic properties, high mechanical strength, resistance to many solvents and high resistance to weather conditions.

PVC foam board is one of the most popular semi-finished products today, which is used in advertising, construction and industry. Boards made of foamed PVC are light and, at the same time, very durable, therefore they are ideal as an element of portable structures and structures particularly exposed to mechanical damage. Very light foam boards are also used in the furniture industry and for the production of housings for machines and devices.

Selected features of the material

  • very low weight

  • very good resistance to weather conditions

  • resistance to corrosion and chemicals

  • low thermal conductivity

  • low flammability (confirmed by the ITB approval)

  • soundproofing

  • economic machining only with a saw or milling machine

  • perfect for printing, varnishing and foil application
