Cutting acrylic glass to size

Acrylic glass, or polymethacrylate (PMMA), is a modern material which - due to its properties - is widely used in many areas of our lives.

The material can be freely formed, giving it various shapes, e.g. machine covers or stands. Acrylic glass windows for boats, motorhomes, racing cars, greenhouses, canopies over doors, etc. are also very popular.

  • easy to process, the material has thermoplastic properties

  • maximum operating temperature: 80 ° C

  • softening point: 112 ° C

  • density: 1.19 g / cm³ [1]

  • tensile strength: 75 MPa

  • compressive strength: 100 MPa

  • Charpy notched impact strength: 1.5 kJ / m2 [1]

  • Shore D hardness: 75

It is available in colorless, milky (opal), black, smoked, mirror, matte, fluo and mass-colored (colored) versions.

The available thicknesses of colorless acrylic glass are 1.5mm 2mm 3mm 4mm 5mm 6mm 8mm 10mm 12mm 15mm and 20mm.

The boards are cut to the indicated dimensions in the shape of a rectangle or square, we can also cut a non-standard shape by additionally selecting the service of laser cutting or milling.

The acrylic glass plates sold by us have a hygienic certificate allowing contact with food.
